Can you help?

Here are a few dogs that we are trying to place in Final Refuge homes. If any of these dogs would fit into your home and heart, you would find the rewards very great. We cover vet expenses. Contact us for details.

You can see their full profiiles on the FR page HERE.

March 08BRUNO - a sweet, smallish shepherd mix, 43 pounds and 12-14 years old; has a moderate heart murmur and significant arthritis plus skin issues. Fine with dogs and cats, lovdixeies kids, loves to go for longish walks but otherwise very quiet. Can't climb more than a few steps, is reliable in the house but would like more company at this time of his life.

Maddie

MADDIE - quiet, loving, well housebroken little 17-pound Lhasa with limited sight and no hearing, would like a home with a warm lap and not so many dogs (fine with cats). Needs eye drops regularly.

Sissy

SISSY - little 18-pound white dog who's playful, affectionate and happy, gets along well with dogs and cats; needs a home with regular schedule and frequent breaks.

Lily

LILY - a sweet, happy girl recently out of the shelter, good with other dogs; she weighs about 30 pounds (soaking wet.)

Still missing as of April 22

Note: Occasionally a dog in "Final Refuge" proves to be adoptable after all -- with veterinary care their health improves and with love their true personality shines. If you see a dog in the Final Refuge section you are particularly taken by, please inquire about it.

If you are interested in adopting one of our senior dogs please contact us for details. Some of these dogs are in our foster homes, and some still with their owners. All are spayed or neutered and in reasonable health. Adoption fees are usually $95. and include all vaccinations, bloodwork, and other health care.

Our adoption questionnaire may be found at the link below. Please let us know about your particular interests and situation. Thank you for your interest in a senior dog.

Adoption Questionnaire

Please take a few minutes to review our hints on introducing a new dog to your household.

If adoption isn't something you can do right now, but would be interested in fostering or providing hospice care, you may access information and an application HERE.
